What inspired you to teach yoga? What is your WHY?

In 2014, I was going through a very dark time in my life. I signed up for my first yoga class in search of mental health benefits, and I immediately fell in love with the practice. I was at my weakest both mentally and physically, and I found solace and strength on my mat. Very quickly after being introduced to this practice, I knew I wanted to share it with others.Years later, I started having problems with my lower back, which caused me to have to take a full hiatus from Asana (the physical part of yoga). After seeking care from various kinds of doctors with no relief, I finally found a doctor who used yoga as part of her treatment plan, and I began to heal. In 2022, I was able to re-embrace all aspects of yoga with an even deeper love. What I once used to help my mind and spirit was now also a big part of my physical healing. As soon as I was cleared by my doctor in 2023, I signed up for my 200-hour yoga teacher training to deepen my own practice and to become qualified to share it with others.

I am extremely grateful for all I have gained from the practice both on and off the mat. I’m passionate about helping others receive all the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits that yoga has to offer.
