Our Yoga Classes

Evolve offers yoga classes for every level of experience and interest.

For people who are new to the practice and want to learn the basics or prefer a slower pace, we offer our foundations class, yin yoga, and gentle vinyasa. Yogis who prefer dynamic and challenging classes can explore our vinyasa and power classes that get the body moving and heart pumping. Evolve is also home to the Ashtanga yoga method, a traditional approach to learning asana (poses) that is suitable for all levels and encourages independent practice to deepen your connection with yoga. Anyone who is interested in expanding their yoga knowledge beyond the mat is encouraged to attend our Evolution Series, where we discuss a range of topics relevant to all of the eight limbs of yoga.

  • Explore the four basic principles of yoga—stability, strength, mobility and space. The class combines basic yogic philosophy with an introduction to the fundamental asana and flows typically encountered in more advanced styles. Appropriate for novice yogis or practitioners seeking to improve alignment and posture.

  • A slow-paced style of yoga where poses are held for longer periods, typically ranging from one to five minutes. Yin yoga targets the deep connective tissues of the body, such as the fascia, ligaments, joints and bones, rather than the muscles targeted in more dynamic styles of yoga. All levels welcome.

  • This class focuses on physical and emotional well-being through attitude, alignment, and action. Enhance flexibility and strength while refining posture and connecting within. Receive clear instruction and personalized guidance as the teacher moves through fundamental poses, suitable for novice yogis or practitioners seeking to improve alignment and posture.

  • A vinyasa approach to asana that moves slowly and primarily includes foundational postures. This class is appropriate for those just beginning their yoga asana journey and for all practitioners who want to slow down and connect to the foundational elements of vinyasa.

  • The best of both worlds! The hour will begin with a harmonious energizing flow and move into yummy yin/restorative postures for the second half. A well-rounded practice to serve body, mind, and spirit.

  • Vinyasa is characterized by the synchronization of breath and movement, creating a flow dynamic. This class establishes a steady pace and works on breath control and mind/body awareness. The creative sequencing develops flexibility and strength throughout all major joints and muscles of the body. All levels of experience are welcome though it may feel challenging for beginners.

This class is warmed to the instructor's discretion. Temperature might range from 80 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • This 45-minute flow is designed to strengthen and lengthen muscles within a more brief class time frame. It is appropriate for all levels of experience. Students can expect to be physically challenged and energetically grounded in this express vinyasa style class, leaving you ready to take on the rest of the day!

This class is warmed to the instructor's discretion. Temperature might range from 80 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • This vinyasa practice gives primary attention to those postures that focus on building strength and endurance. This practice is appropriate for all levels of experience, but you will feel challenged and sweat buckets!

  • Ashtanga is a vinyasa method that has a set sequence of postures. The sequence is progressive in that each posture is built on the information received from those previous. The Primary Series addresses the main areas of the body: the spinal column, hips, knees, and shoulders, as well as the internal organs, bringing the body to its most optimal neutral state. We offer a Led Half Primary Series class, a Led Full Primary Series class (for the experienced practitioner), and a Mysore, self-practice program. In Mysore, the instructor teaches and guides students on a one-on-one basis. Students work on the sequence as they have learned it at their own pace. Mysore is appropriate for all levels of experience.

  • This 30-45 minute class will explore practices that support our yoga asana, including philosophy discussions, breathwork, the chanting of traditional yogic mantras, or technique workshops. Each class has a different focus and will expand and deepen your knowledge of yoga. Have a seat, have some tea, let's chat!

  • This 30-minute session provides suggestions for different meditation methods so you can find what works for you. You are guided into a brief meditative practice followed by a group discussion. This class is intended to help you establish a personal meditation practice.
