Studio Etiquette
You are our welcome guest at Evolve Yoga and Wellness.
We consider the working relationship between you and your teacher most significant for the best learning experience and a successful practice.
If you are experiencing injury, pain, medical condition or restrictions to movement, please check in with your teacher before class to discuss what and how to practice. Your teacher is there to help and guide you.
Practice with care and consideration towards yourself and others. Respect your limits. Acknowledge that your body and mind will feel different every day.
Honor your experience. If something comes up for you—physical, mental, emotional or otherwise—know that it is not uncommon.
Personal hygiene is an integral part of practicing yoga. Please ensure that you and your gear are clean. Please bring a towel if you know you will need it.
If you are sick or exhibiting any signs of illness, please do not come to class. Stay home. Take rest.
Please arrive early enough to be in place and ready at the start of class time. No admittance will be allowed more than 10 minutes after class has begun.
While we encourage community building at Evolve, please refrain from unnecessary talking during class.
Drink plenty of water before and after your practice.
Please leave your shoes, bag and clothes in the provided area of the lobby. Please turn off your mobile phone and leave it in the lobby unless absolutely necessary. Please do not bring any unnecessary materials to practice onto or around your mat.
All room settings are under the management of your teacher; please refrain from adjusting lights, temperature, music, props or mat placement unless requested to do so by your instructor.
