Find Space for Healing in Trauma-Informed Yoga

Trauma informed yoga focuses on supporting healing in the mind and body by focusing on choice, empowerment, and preventing re-traumatizing.  While in this safe and supportive space, your central nervous system has the opportunity to rest.

This practice may at first look much the same as any other yoga asana class. During this class you may find that your breath is slow as you move through gentle poses with a focus on mind-body connection. Every movement is presented as an offering - with an emphasis on personal choice. If you’d like to stay in child’s pose the entire time, I love and support this! You are encouraged to do what feels right for you.

Trauma informed yoga promotes self compassion, honors choice, supports emotional balance, strengthen healthy coping skills and more. You are supported in however you may feel during this time.

“What began as a physical practice quickly evolved into something much deeper for me. Arriving on my yoga mat kept me grounded through all phases of my life. My own healing through yoga inspires me to help others in this way. Yoga is a tool for aligning with the highest version of yourself.”
