Jade Wonzo

Jade started her personal practice of yoga about 9 years ago. At the time, working in a high-stress corporate environment, Yoga was her sanctuary. She then decided to deepen her yoga journey while pregnant with her son and jumped into yoga teacher training. Jade currently has over 500 hours of training, and thousands of teaching hours under her belt.

Now even more in love with yoga than ever, she loves to share this amazing practice, teaching an average of 60 to 80 students weekly! Jade has taught everything from Vinyasa to Restorative yoga and meditation. With the practice of yoga Jade continues to connect and evolve personally as well as with her students.

As a curvy, short-haired, biracial, brown skin woman, the wellness industry hasn’t always been welcoming. Because of this Jade works tirelessly to create spaces of expansion and self-discovery where ALL people and bodies feel comfortable and included. Students are drawn to her rawness and real life experiences. Her efforts for inclusion have opened doors such as being featured in Good Morning America, PBS South Florida, and WPTV (a local news station here in WPB)

Jade has spent time in the practice of Ashtanga under Angelique Sandas, and often refers to Primary Series as “coming home”. With all the types and styles of yoga that Jade has studied, she has now settled into teaching creative movement and encourages the use of blocks and props.

In addition to completing 500hrs of yoga teacher training, Jade has also continued her education in yoga by attending meditation, hands-on assists trainings, and yoga sequencing workshops. In 2021, she created and brought to life her very first women’s yoga retreat.
Jade has also been featured by companies such as Nike, Athleta, Lululemon, and Varley, showing that all bodies and sizes matter.
