What inspired you to teach yoga? What is your WHY?
The symbiotic relationship between body and breath has always deeply resonated with me. From the age of 3, I immersed myself in the world of dance within professional studios, a journey that spanned until my high school graduation. Yet, despite my passion for dance, a sense of incompleteness lingered within me. It wasn't until I stumbled upon yoga at the age of 12 that I found what was missing.
In the yoga studio, I discovered a profound sense of fulfillment by consciously melding the rhythmic ebb and flow of breath with movement. Each practice became an opportunity to try and take a journey inward. To reach towards heightened self-awareness and profound healing through each intentional inhalation and exhalation.
Reflecting on the myriad yoga teachers who have illuminated my path, I often viewed them as guiding lights whenever life veered off course. Inspired by their impact, I felt a desire to try and become a light for others as well, a source of solace and guidance in times of need.
I've come to realize that the role of a teacher is never static; rather, it is a perpetual journey of growth and learning. As I continue to navigate the dual roles of teacher and student, I'm driven by an insatiable curiosity for knowledge and a commitment to deeper self-exploration.
Teaching was an opportunity for me to cultivate awareness of the transformative power of intentional breath and movement, to create a sanctuary where peace can be let in, and to perpetually deepen my own journey of education and enlightenment.
Why do you teach?
Vinyasa is at the heart of my teaching journey, with a passion for exploring its diverse styles. For instance, I enjoy teaching power vinyasa. However, I like to slow it down as well with gentle vinyasa, beginner vinyasa, and slow flow vinyasa. For me, every variation of vinyasa presents an opportunity to guide and inspire, and I wholeheartedly embrace them all! Most of my classes will start or conclude with guided meditation, providing time for reflection on the body and mind, devoid of physical practice.

Complete the sentence! “Yoga is…”
Yoga embodies a holistic union of the self—mind, body, and soul. Yoga goes far beyond physical appearance, rather yoga can awaken senses from within. Beyond the realm of postures, yoga encompasses a way of life, fostering harmony and unity within oneself.
