What inspired you to teach yoga? What is your WHY?

I can't stop wars, end world hunger, or eliminate homelessness and addiction, but I can teach yoga. I teach yoga because it is how I share peace and elevate joy. I teach yoga teacher training because it's a way I can make the world better through helping compassionate humans find their voice to share yoga farther than I could ever do myself. So teaching yoga, for me, is revolution, punk rock, hard core, and the voice of peace in the streets. I am passionate about sharing all aspects of yoga and creating a world where magic is embraced and witnessed in our daily life!

What are you certifications?

Masters degree summa cum laude in yogic studies from Naropa University. ERYT500 YACAP with Yoga Alliance DYT1000 with Dharma Mittra. Lineages are Krishnamacharya (15 years of study with Kaustaub Desikachar in Yoga Sutra and Yogarashasrya) and Yogi Gupta (20 years of study with Dharma Mittra). Multiple 200 and 500 hour YTT programs in a wide variety of styles, first in 1998. Practicing since 1993, teaching since 2000, and teaching teachers since 2009. Reiki master, certified sound practitioner, and certified mindfulness instructor with Naropa University.

What do you teach?

Power, vinyasa, restorative, yin, and teacher trainings. My teaching style incorporates principles of alignment with flow and bliss. I theme each practice so the student can evolve spiritually as well as physically.
